lazy days

So my days for the last nine days have gone like this:

1. Sleep in
2. Eat a sandwich
3. Drive to the beach
4. Sunbathe/nap/read/swim/play beach football
5. Come back to the hotel around 5pm
6. Nap/read or wander into town for a look around the shops
7. Walk 10 minutes to Sunset Beach for sunset
8. Go out for dinner
9. Either stay out for a few drinks and/or some pool or come back to the hotel and relax

I haven't felt so relaxed or refreshed in years! It's only mid-season here in Antiparos so there are very few tourists around, only the regulars and locals so it's lovely and peaceful. The weather has mainly been still, calm and sunny around 25 degrees and low humidity, but we have had a couple of raging storms overnight!

Like Santorini, there are so many stray cats everywhere and Rach and I have spent a few Euros on cat biscuits because we feel so sorry for them... this results in something like this on Rach and Mike's doorstep every morning:

It's so sad because the don't seem to care about these cats and they haven't been neutered or speyed. It's a hard life for them and most of them seem to just survive on what they can scavenge from dumpsters, restaurants and tourists who feel sorry for them like us :-( The little kitten at the back is really tame and lets me pat her which is nice as even my cat at home, Maisey, doesn't like to be pet! Don't worry I always wash my hands after patting Snuffles!

I emailed the local Animal Welfare organisation as there is one manky Tomcat terrorizing all the females who have obviously not been speyed, unfortunately the organisation didn't seem too concerned, so no wonder the cat population is the way it is!
